Our English Classes
Our men’s and women’s ESL classes meet two days each week, for two hours each time. If our class doesn’t work for you, scroll down for a list of other ESL classes in the area.
We have opened a second class, in the evenings! See below for information about morning class or evening class. They are at different locations. However, both registrations have finished. Students who come to register will now be late. This means you will have to wait a long time for testing when you register. We must test you to see what level of class is best for you. But this will take a long time because all the teachers are busy teaching! You will also have to pay $10 extra. This is because we might have to special order your book. To special order, we pay extra money for postage.

MORNING CLASS
Morning class meets at New City Fellowship Church. The address is 200 Prince Edward Street, Fredericksburg, VA, 22401. See below to know where to park at New City Fellowship Church.
EVENING CLASS
Evening class meets at Sunshine Ballpark at 1200 Wicklow Drive, Fredericksburg, VA, 22401. Parking is easy at Sunshine Ballpark, which is near Wegmans and Bragg Hill.

EVENING CLASS
Evening class meets at Sunshine Ballpark near Wegmans and Bragg Hill. The address is 1200 Wicklow Drive, F’burg, VA. For men, evening class is on Mondays and Wednesdays. For women, it’s on Mondays and Thursdays.
COST
The cost (fees) for a semester is $50. If you don’t have $50, come to registration anyway and talk to us about your situation. Our teachers are volunteers, so you are paying for your curriculum (books), not your teacher! Please bring your fees to registration day. We can accept cash only.

CHILDCARE
We have a space and volunteers to watch small children at the morning class, but the children’s program becomes full very quickly. After the childcare becomes full, people wanting to enroll with small children will be placed on a waitlist so they can begin studying later. We do not have childcare at the evening class. You may not bring any children to the evening class.
DETAILS
For the comfort of our students, our classes are separated by gender.
We have many different levels at our morning class (about 10 levels for women), but our evening class is smaller. This means that students with a wider variety of abilities need to study together in the evening.
We are a Christian organization, so we include a story each day from the Holy Bible (Taurat, Zabur or Injil-e Sharif) in our classes. Most are stories Catholics and Muslims usually already know. Many are told in both the Holy Bible and Qur’an.
While we welcome students from all linguistic backgrounds, historically more than 90% of our students have spoken Dari or Pashto.
PARKING at NEW CITY FELLOWSHIP: Our morning classes meet downtown at New City Fellowship Church, near Hazel Hill housing. The address is 200 Prince Edward Street, Fredericksburg, VA, 22401. Don’t park on the street; the police might give you a ticket! The parking lot is behind the church building. One entrance is on Dunmore Street/ Gunnery Road near the HeadStart preschool (Walker-Grant Center). To enter the parking lot, drive west on Dunmore Street (toward the Walker-Grant Center and preschool) to the intersection of Dunmore Street and Ferdinand Street. Look for the open yellow gate on your right side. At the gate, turn right into the parking lot. For details, visit our parking page.

New English Class in Stafford!
Even though registration has finished, you can still late-register for class in Stafford. Go to Stafford Crossing Community Church at class time (10 in the morning) on a Monday or Thursday in January. This class is for men and women together.
